Sing in the Summer with Singers Inspired

Always fancied singing? Well, now’s your moment!!!

Hot on the heels of last year’s highly successful singing workshops, Downham Market’s community choir Singers Inspired had another event planned during the summer of 2007

Anyone interested in singing was welcome – even if you had never sung before. You didn’t need to read music or have any kind of singing experience. Whatever your musical ability you would be sure to get something from the day. The workshops were informal, huge fun and were a great way to kick start that latent musical talent. Even if you had only ever sung in the bath – you could come and join in

The workshop led by Gitika Partington, Singer /acapella arranger/songwriter/ music teacher , MA choral education, was at Wimbotsham Village Hall, near Downham Market, Norfolk on Saturday 23rd June 2007. The day was fun and lively, no reading music involved, starting with funky vocal rhythmic warm ups, gradually building up a group of heart and feet-warming songs, sung in glorious harmony from popular/gospel and world music styles.

Sunday 22nd July

The choir held their summer party.
The weather was fine, the wine flowed, and as always the food was fabulous.

It was a great way to start the summer holidays

  •   Winter Concert Thursday 29th November 2007

Our Annual Winter Concert on Thursday 29th November at The Methodist Church Paradise Road Downham Market.

At Christmas we sing a mix of songs rather than sticking with a more traditional carol concert - there'll be some things you recognise, some you can join in with and some new things -all of which will combine to give you a good evening out!!
